AI Writer
The AI Writer feature in Compose allows you to generate high-quality text content using artificial intelligence. Whether you need help starting a paragraph, expanding on ideas, or creating entirely new sections, AI Writer seamlessly integrates into your writing workflow.
How AI Writer Works
Section titled “How AI Writer Works”AI Writer can be accessed through multiple methods within the Compose editor:
- Slash Commands: Type
/followed by “AI Writer” to generate new content - Text Selection: Highlight existing text and use the bubble toolbar for AI enhancements
- Content Generation: Create content from scratch based on your prompts
Using AI Writer with Slash Commands
Section titled “Using AI Writer with Slash Commands”Access the Slash Menu
Section titled “Access the Slash Menu”Type / anywhere in your document to open the slash command menu.
Select AI Writer
Section titled “Select AI Writer”Look for the AI Writer option in the menu (marked with a sparkle icon) and click on it.
Enter Your Prompt
Section titled “Enter Your Prompt”Describe what you want the AI to write. Be specific about the content type, tone, and any key points to include.
Review and Insert
Section titled “Review and Insert”The AI will generate content based on your prompt. Review it and click “Insert” to add it to your document.
Text Enhancement Features
Section titled “Text Enhancement Features”When you select existing text in your document, a bubble toolbar appears with powerful AI enhancement options:
Available Enhancement Options
Section titled “Available Enhancement Options”- Improve Writing: Enhances clarity, flow, and overall quality
- Fix Spelling & Grammar: Corrects errors and improves syntax
- Paraphrase: Rewrites content while maintaining the original meaning
- Change Tone: Adjusts the writing style (Professional, Casual, Academic, Creative, etc.)
- Humanize: Makes AI-generated text sound more natural and human-like
- Summarize: Condenses longer text into key points
- Make Longer: Expands on existing content with additional details
- Simplify: Makes complex content easier to understand
- Translate: Converts text to different languages
Using Text Enhancement
Section titled “Using Text Enhancement”Select Text
Section titled “Select Text”Highlight any portion of text in your document that you want to enhance.
Choose Enhancement Type
Section titled “Choose Enhancement Type”Click on the desired enhancement option from the bubble toolbar that appears.
Review Changes
Section titled “Review Changes”The AI will process your text and show you the enhanced version.
Apply or Discard
Section titled “Apply or Discard”Accept the changes by clicking “Insert” or discard them if you prefer the original.
Advanced AI Writer Features
Section titled “Advanced AI Writer Features”Contextual Awareness
Section titled “Contextual Awareness”AI Writer understands the context of your document and generates content that fits naturally with your existing text. It considers:
- Document Theme: Maintains consistency with your overall topic
- Writing Style: Matches the tone and style of your existing content
- Tagged Knowledge: Incorporates information from your tagged documents and sets
Content Types
Section titled “Content Types”AI Writer can generate various types of content:
- Paragraphs: Complete paragraphs on specific topics
- Lists: Bulleted or numbered lists with relevant items
- Explanations: Detailed explanations of complex concepts
- Examples: Practical examples to illustrate points
- Conclusions: Summaries and concluding thoughts
- Introductions: Engaging opening paragraphs
Best Practices for AI Writer
Section titled “Best Practices for AI Writer”Writing Effective Prompts
Section titled “Writing Effective Prompts”- Be Specific: Provide clear, detailed instructions about what you want
- Include Context: Mention the purpose, audience, and key points
- Specify Format: Indicate if you want lists, paragraphs, or specific structures
- Set Tone: Mention the desired writing style (formal, casual, technical, etc.)

Integration with Knowledge Base
Section titled “Integration with Knowledge Base”AI Writer becomes more powerful when combined with Aethera’s knowledge management features:
Document Tagging
Section titled “Document Tagging”- Tag relevant documents using the
@symbol before generating content - AI Writer will reference these documents to create more accurate and relevant text
- Maintains consistency with your existing knowledge base
Persona Integration
Section titled “Persona Integration”- Use specific personas to influence the AI Writer’s style and expertise
- Generate content from the perspective of different subject matter experts
- Maintain consistent voice across different document sections
Troubleshooting and Tips
Section titled “Troubleshooting and Tips”Common Issues and Solutions
Section titled “Common Issues and Solutions”Generated content doesn’t match my style:
- Use the “Change Tone” feature to adjust the writing style
- Provide more specific prompts about the desired tone and voice
Content lacks relevant details:
- Tag more specific documents from your knowledge base
- Provide additional context in your prompts
- Use the “Make Longer” feature to expand on generated content
AI Writer suggestions seem irrelevant:
- Ensure you’ve tagged the most relevant documents
- Check that your prompt clearly describes what you need
- Try breaking complex requests into smaller, more specific prompts
