Creating and Managing Organizations
Aethera allows you to create and manage multiple organizations, providing a centralized space for collaboration and knowledge sharing. This page will guide you through the steps to create a new organization and manage existing ones.
Organization Selector
The organization selector, located at the top left of your sidebar, allows you to switch between different organizations that you have created or are a part of. This selector provides an easy way to navigate through various organizational environments within Aethera.
How to Use the Organization Selector
Access the Organization Selector
Click on your name or profile icon at the top left of the sidebar to open the organization selector dropdown.
View Existing Organizations
The dropdown will list all organizations you are a part of, including those you have created and those you have been invited to join.
Switch Between Organizations
Click on any organization name in the list to switch to that organization's workspace.
Creating a New Organization
You can easily create a new organization directly from the organization selector. Follow these steps to set up a new organization:
Open the Organization Selector
Click on your name or profile icon at the top left of the sidebar to open the dropdown.
Select 'Create New Organization'
At the bottom of the dropdown, click on the “Create new organization” button.
Fill Out the Organization Form
A form will appear where you can enter the following details:
- Logo: Pick a logo for your organization. Recommended size is 256x256.
- Organization Name: Enter the name of your organization.
- Organization Website: Optionally, enter the website of your organization.
Create Organization
After filling out the form, click the “Create Organization” button. Your new organization will be created, and you will immediately have access to its workspace.
Managing Organizations
Once you have created an organization, you can manage its settings and members through the organization settings.
Accessing Organization Settings
Open the Organization Selector
Click on your name or profile icon at the top left of the sidebar to open the dropdown.
Select 'Organization Settings'
Click on the “Organization Settings” button to open the settings for the currently selected organization.
Manage Organization Details
In the settings, you can update the organization's details, manage members, and configure various settings to optimize collaboration.
By using these features, Aethera ensures that you can efficiently manage multiple organizations, facilitating seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing across different teams and projects.
